I usually work with all natural, organic, materials like high quality Japanese handmade Awagami/washi paper or other organic paper consisting of cotton rag, flex, hemp etc. which finds its origin in Catalunya and South India. When I use textile my preference goes to working with 100% natural materials like cotton, wild silk, linen, hemp, felt, and wool. For textured surfaces I use rough leather, suede, wood, copper and anything out of the ordinary I happen to come across, which I combine somehow with anything of the above, adding original finishings and details. I try to select those materials that best capture the essence of what you're looking for, thus making each design exclusive. |
